The Asthma UK Youth Forum is a group of young people involved with various parts of Asthma UK's work.

The group was established to:

  • feedback to Asthma UK about issues that affect their day to day life while managing their asthma
  • get their comments on the services, materials, campaigns and policies developed by the charity
  • allow children and young people to meet with other people with different severities of asthma
  • help think of ways to raise awareness of asthma and deliver them to the public in ways such as competitions.

They are also spokespeople for Asthma UK in their community and in the media and train up a group of children and young people to be speakers and case studies. The forum also write a page targeted at young people for the Asthma Magazine called Young Lungs.

There are currently 16 members of the forum and they meet a few times a year, often at the Asthma UK offices in London although previous meeting places have been at Alton Towers and the London Eye!

They are always looking for others to join them.
