Coop Funeralcare have teamed up with Child Bereavement, Trauma and Emotional Wellbeing Service (CHUMS) to provide local schools, medical professionals, community groups and bereaved families with access to a series of short animated films aimed at helping bereaved children aged 7- 16 cope with the loss of a loved one and provide additional resource to relatives, teachers and other organisations who all play a role in supporting a child through their loss.
The four animated films including ‘Our Year Since Dad Died’ and ‘Our Year Since Grandma Died’ look at issues young people face when losing a parent or grandparent and focus on difficult dates such as Mother's Day, Father's Day and a family member's birthday providing practical guidelines on how to overcome these hurdles.
