Lifeline 4 kids describe their work as;

We are a UK National children's charity established in 1961. Originally known as The Handicapped Children's Aid Committee, in 2000 our working name changed to Lifeline 4 Kids. Our members work on an entirely voluntary basis and we have no paid staff. Our administration costs are less than 1% of our income. This is unique in today's age of charities with high administrative overheads.

We were formed for one purpose -- to provide essential equipment to help improve the quality of life for children with disabilities and special needs irrespective of race or creed.

  • Schools, children's hospices, respite care homes and support centres throughout the UK receive our help with equipment including playground equipment, soft play and multi-sensory rooms and special beds.
  • For the individual child we provide the full spectrum of specialised equipment such as electric wheelchairs, mobility aids and varying items including specialised computers and specialist toys.'
