Description

At the QE2 Activity Centre we aim to provide a venue where disabled parents with their children or families with disabled children are able to have a holiday together.

We want the whole family to be able to take part in activities so have developed ways of delivering activity sessions to allow each person to set and meet their own challenge. Because all of our users are individuals with their own strengths and weaknesses our activities need to meet a range of abilities.  Take climbing for example: we have walls that an able 14 year old sibling will find tricky and other walls that are achievable for someone with severe mobility problems.  During 2012 we had canoeists aged from six months to 92 years!

The activities will be arranged so that families take part with other families, giving an opportunity for children with special needs and their siblings to make new friends.
